Biography

American born Edward Kennard (E.K.) Rand would be a Latin professor for more than four decades at Harvard University. His passion was medieval times and began a journal chronicling the impact of the Middle Ages. Several educational institutions invited him to speak as a guest lecturer. His renowned work, Founders of the Middle Ages, is still widely read yet today. His publications and articles number in the hundreds. Rand was born in Massachusetts in 1871 and died in Massachusetts in 1945.
