Denny, Sir Edward, was born at Tralee Castle,
County Kerry, Ireland, October 2, 1796,
and succeeded to the baronetcy upon the
death of his father, in 1831. He owned a
large estate in Ireland, though his principal
residence was in London. His Church
membership was with the Plymouth Brethren. He
published A Selection of Hymns
in 1839 and a volume of Hymns and Poems
in 1848. His Millennial Hymns, 1870, is a
republication of his former work. It contains
a long preface on prophecy, in which
he advocates Millenarianism. He died in
London June 13, 1889.
