Breathe from the gentle South, O LORD
Cheer up, my soul, there is a mercy–seat

Holy LORD GOD! I love thy truth
Fix my heart and eyes on thine!
The new–born child of gospel–grace
Zeal is that pure and heav’nly flame
The LORD receives his highest praise
Too many, LORD, abuse thy grace
What thousands never knew the road!
Grace, triumphant in the throne
Sin, when viewed by scripture light
The wishes that the sluggard frames
Of all the gifts thine hand bestows
Almighty King! whose wondrous hand
Let us love, and sing, and wonder
Rejoice, believer, in the LORD
Salvation! what a glorious plan
Now may the LORD reveal his face

Confirm the hope thy word allows
Now, LORD, inspire the preacher’s heart
Thy promise, LORD, and thy command
With Israel’s God who can compare?
JESUS is mine! I’m now prepared
We seek a rest beyond the skies
