Biography

England’s George Campbell Morgan produced more than 75 books over his lifetime. A collection of his sermons fill another ten volumes. Born in 1863, Morgan was inspired by D.L. Moody’s preaching. He began preaching at the age of thirteen. Morgan worked for a time as a teacher and writer. Many of his works are commentaries and biblical studies. Morgan’s theological views can be described as dispensationalist and fundamentalist. Among his many books are To Die is Gain (1903), The Simple Things of the Christian Life (1907), and The Missionary Manifesto (1909). Morgan retired from pastoring Westminster Chapel in 1943. Two years later Morgan died at 81 years old.
