Biography

Joseph Rawson Lumby held two prestigious professorships at the University of Cambridge. His scholarly studies earned him four degrees between 1858 and 1879. Lumby spent time editing and writing commentary for several books including Cambridge Bible for Schools, Glossary of Bible Words, and the Speaker’s Commentary. Hear the Church and A History of the Creeds are just two of the books Lumby wrote and published. Lumby died on November 21, 1895.
