Biography

Do you consider yourself a “postmillennialist” or a “premillennialist”? Samuel Henry Kellogg, born in 1839, was instrumental in encouraging American Evangelical theology to adopt a premillennialist view. His passion however was reaching the Hindi people. As a Presbyterian missionary, he not only went to India but he headed the team that translated the Old Testament into the Hindi language. He also wrote an exposition of Hindi grammar. Kellogg’s commentary on Leviticus is included in the Expositor’s Bible. Kellogg died in August of 1899.
