Works by Edmund G. Gardner

  • Cell of Self-Knowledge: Seven Early English Mystical Treatises
Description: By the beginning of the 20th century, Gardner had become one of the foremost British scholars of the works of Dante Alighieri. This volume contains seven works Gardner collected and edited, each of them works of 14th century English mystics. The collection originally stems from a 16th century publication of the seven works under the editing of a certain Henry Pepwell, and includes writings from Richard Rolle, Walter Hilton, Julian of Norwich, and Richard of St. Victor.
