Lectures to Professing Christians by Rev. Charles G. Finney is, as its title indicates, a collection of 25 lectures delivered in 1836 and 1837 while in New York. Titles of lectures include"Selfishness Not True Religion,""Way of Salvation,""Reproof of a Christian Duty," and"True Submission." Finney covered not only theological and doctrinal topics but addressed social issues as well. As with other Christian ministries, these lectures have an emphasis on the process of sanctification and justification.
