Biography

Not only was Sydney Cave born on January 17 but he also died on January 17. The two events were separated by 70 years (1883-1953). During his lifetime, Cave served as principal of New College in London, England. He was also a well-respected theologian within the English Free Church and elsewhere. His focus was exploring the relationships that exist between Christianity and other religions of the world. His book, An Introduction to the Study of Some Living Religions of the East, remains culturally relevant. He specifically explored Hinduism in his book, Redemption: Hindu and Christianity.
