Expositor’s Bible: The Book of Jeremiah, Volume II (1895) is part of the original fifty volumes known as The Expositor’s Bible edited by W. Robertson Nicoll. This exposition of Jeremiah is the work of William Henry Bennett. A chronological table of the leaders of Judah, Assyria, and Egypt is included in this book. Chapters 21 through 52 of Jeremiah make up the bulk of this volume. These chapters are divided into three “books” to help one understand the components of Jeremiah. The first book deals with Jeremiah’s interaction with various people and reactions to Jeremiah’s prophecies. Book II gives insights with regards to Jeremiah’s prophecies which include not only Judah but Moab, Ammon, Edom, Babylon and others. The main topic of the third book are the teachings of Jeremiah. The final portion this volume is an epilogue making clear the foreshadowing of Christ in the “circumstances and mission of Jeremiah”.
